Another moderate muslim Reid heckled during Muslim speech
"Home Secretary John Reid has been heckled during a speech about targeting potential Muslim extremists. He was interrupted by activist Abu Izzadeen, who said he was "furious" about "state terrorism by British police". "
Now Izzadeen knows all about state terrorism after all here are a few of Wiki’s comments on him:

Activist? This is a man that even Galloway thinks is a dangerous fruitloop. He even says so in the same article:
“Respect MP George Galloway, in an open letter to Mr Reid written on Wednesday afternoon, asked how such a "well-known extremist... was allowed within punching distance of the British home secretary".
The Home Office had been asked to comment here and their reply seems to indicate the prevailing priorities in the Home Office at the moment:
"There was no question of the home secretary's safety being compromised at any time."
The Home Secretary’s safety? Bollocks to the Home Secretary’s Safety… why the flaming feck does this Izzadeen goon freely float around the British Isles and the first we get to see of it is when he’s shouting and ranting at Reid?
What about the safety of the good British people who elected you fucktards into power, who pay the mandarins' salaries and who think that state and national security are issues that are governmental responsibility?
Why are we not allowed to protest within a mile of Parliament but a man who “has openly admitted that he wishes to die as a suicide bomber” can wander freely around the place preaching his fascist bile? Why is this foaming, semtax hugging fucking moron not in Belmarsh?

Islamic Human Rights Commission? Oh pale, waltzing Lord do we fund these people? I mean come on… how many breaches of human rights can you think of done in the name of Allah?
- Stoning of women for being raped
- Beheading journalists and aid workers
- Hiding your fucking missile launching positions in schools
- Beating of women and making them cover themselves from head to toe
- Blowing up public transport and killing people who have nothing to do with you or the foreign policy you claim to be fighting against.
Islamic Human Rights Commission? You’re doing a bang up job guys (because I assume there are no women working in this). Instead of having a pop at the Home Secretary (and it’s not like me to side with him… but you know how it goes, band together against the common enemy and all that), why not go over to Iran, Somalia, Pakistan etc and er… sort out their human fucking rights? Is it because they’ll hang you?

Well, we don't have to ask it of other 'communities', do we? Name one other 'community' that teaches its teenagers that blowing up their neighbours is either good or godly.
However, they may be right about the unrealistic bit. That's entirely for them to say. Either sorting their kids out is realistic or it isn't. If it isn't, they should sort their preachers out. Before someone else does.
Seconded - and since when was Leyton 'a Muslim area'? I live there, and there are plenty of Muslims. But I don't for a second consider it a 'Muslim' area. Try Forest Gate.
This really makes my blood boil. There isn't a Muslim community - when they aren't targeting the Infidel the different demoninations are at each other's throats. It's a term they use to close ranks and shut out anyone who tries to remonstrate or reason with them - either way, you're damned.

Hmm. While I share people's anger at the man's remarks and his arrogance, I'm not sure it's a good basis for sensible analysis.
Prodicus asks 'name one other "community" that teaches its teenagers that blowing up their neighbors is either good or godly.' Well, I'm not at all sure that 'the Muslim community' (if there is such a thing, which I doubt) does any such thing. The 'Jamaican Christian community' certainly doesn't, as far as I know, so do, any more than it teaches its teenagers to join street gangs or become Yardies, so it probably wasn't his parents' influence that caused the jihadist formerly known as Trevor and his brother to form their views.
Nor am I sure that asking them to 'sort their preachers out' is as easily said as done. As I understand it, Trevor and his chums are, in fact, banned from most mosques in the country but there's little anyone can do to stop them from trying to pick up impressionable teenagers in other contexts. I wonder if such demands aren't as futile as asking your local vicar to do something about the Moonies.
I'm neither a Muslim nor a parent of teenagers but I suspect, if I were, I'd be almost as annoyed by John Reid's patronising assumption that I wasn't already worried about extremists influencing my children -- Muslim teenagers, I suspect, go through rebellious, angst-ridden phases like any other teenagers -- as I would be by Trevor and his mates.
I think motor-mouth knows what he's doing. Most Muslims I've ever met have the sort of attitude as the rest of us; they just want to get on with their own lives, families and jobs in peace, and leave others to do the same. That sort thing is obviously anathema to extremists, who, I would think, must delight in having everyone else going on about 'bloody Muslims' since it helps them prove their outlandish points to their impressionable target audience.
