Hattersley Allowed Out Again

"I spray what I like and I like what I bloody well spray!"

Hattersley is spouting a mountain of shite again in the Guardian today.

The Labour leadership has not, as boxing commentators would put it, laid a glove on David Cameron. There is no doubt why. They have not struck a blow in his direction.

I would agree, they’ve not laid a glove on Cameron. They have however spent all the time since David came to the front, as well as some considerable time before laying many a glove on each other.
A recent poll in the Telegraph has shown the Tories more trusted with the NHS than Labour simply because your collection of morons can’t even manage your own offices let alone large government departments and services.

If, to change the sporting metaphor, the government had decided that the leader of the opposition should be given a year to play himself in, the behaviour of ministers would not have been much different.

As such though he’s had the best part of a year to ‘play himself in’ and you have done nothing other than fight amongst yourselves for whatever scraps Blair deems to leave behind at the end.

Cameron is clearly hypnotised by Tony Blair. But Blair and his closest confidantes seem to be mesmerised by Cameron. Gordon Brown, who received his biggest conference cheer when he spoke about relishing the fight ahead, cannot lead the party into battle.

This of course is something the Tories have known for sometime. Brown has never had a stand up confrontation with anyone in his career. He publicly and privately surrenders and then starts the polite process of stabbing people in the back. We all know he orchestrated a coup and then failed to take any responsibility for it at all. Several ministers resigned but he’s still here. How many more pawns do you have to sacrifice Brown?

That would look as if he took the succession for granted.

Which he has.

The chancellor has to act humble for the next six months.

Which he can’t

Meanwhile, Cameron dispenses sunshine without anybody pointing out that he is selling snake oil. This is, after all, the same David Cameron who masterminded the Tory's 2005 manifesto

No he didn’t… he was on the policy committee yes but you can’t lay the entirety of the manifesto onto Cameron. It would not have gone ahead without Michael Howard’s blessing and it would not have gone ahead without the endorsement of most of the Shadow Cabinet, and as many pissed off right-wingers will tell you a great many of these issues have been dropped, not only by the leadership but by the grass roots members of the party. Members of the party who elected their leader as opposed to just handed him the job of PM when he couldn’t get it on his own merits.

a particularly unpleasant prospectus for government on which Michael Howard based a campaign with clear racist overtones and the obvious purpose of exploiting the politics of resentment, envy and fear.

Such racist overtones that a large part of the campaign featured the words “It’s not racist to talk about immigration”? Not forgetting of course that about a year after this campaign your
very own dangerous extremist said “Talking about immigration is not racist”. Let me also remind you that it was such an exploitative, odious and unpleasant document that 32% of the country voted for it… only a few percent fewer than voted for your dossier of utter bollocks and pipe-dreams, which you probably had sexed up.

If Cameron was only the nominal author of that document and allowed illiberal ideas with which he did not agree to be peddled in his name, he is too weak to be prime minister. If he actually believed in the Conservative appeal to the lowest common denominator of the British character, his claim to occupy the middle ground of politics is simply hypocritical. Somebody towards the top of Labour's high command needs to ask him which reputation he prefers.

How is it? Let’s take a little jaunt down history shall we? Before your lot starting occupying parliamentary seats and singing the fecking Red Flag all afternoon we had a system that involved the Whigs and Tories, or later the Liberals and the Conservatives. They both occupied the middle ground and the differences were about how they ran things rather than what they believed. The idea that a Conservative cannot be on the middle ground is just bollocks. A tub-thumping left wing socialist like you however has little place on the middle ground.

So with that in mind…. Would you please fuck off?

Cameron might answer the question with the claim that he has changed his entire political philosophy during the past 18 months. Nobody would believe him.

Of course nobody would believe him. It isn’t true. I heard Cameron speak 18 months ago and he’s still on the same message. Whereas your party, Lord Gobshite, has changed its political philosophy from “it’s racist to talk about immigration” to “it’s not racist to talk about immigration”.

On the evidence, he has not even changed his policies.

Good.

The rhetoric has been altered out of all recognition. But his faithful troops in the constituencies are being reassured that when the natural order of things is restored, and the Tories are back in power, all the hugging of "hoodies", endorsing same-sex unions and increasing support for lone parents will be put aside. Tax cuts will take precedence over social investment.

Oh Roy Roy Roy…. You are a twat! You spout all this bile about Cameron and the Tories and so on yet you provide me with no evidence to back it up at all. Come on Mad fecking Hatters… name your sources, after all your good Guttersnipe here has had the decency to link to mine.

Of course if you cannot provide evidence of your accusations then I would call on you to do any of the following:

- Withdraw your accusations
- Resign
- Fuck off and Die
- All of the above

The paradox of Cameron's position is that while the Conservative party does not take his speeches at face value, the Labour party does.

This doesn’t surprise me… those dense fecktards take what Blair, Blunkett and Prescott say at face value. That bunch of bottom feeders let Red fecking Ken back in the party.

The result is politically ridiculous. Polls suggest that a majority of voters, when asked to choose between Tory and Labour health policy prefer the Conservative alternative

Oh yes…. That’s just ridiculous. God forbid that someone other than your lot has a good idea. Jesus…. How much blind hatred do you have for these people?

even though the opposition has made clear that it has no policy and does not intend to produce one until much nearer the election. All that Cameron has to offer is the bedside manner of a Harley Street plastic surgeon. He can make everything more beautiful. Put your life in his hands. Why does no politician of importance say that the bill will be in the post when the operation is over?

Well it comes down to trust doesn’t it? And people are starting to trust Cameron and the Tories… whereas your trough snouted rats have done precious little other than fucking lie after lie after lie. There has been no good come out of this government unless you were actually a member of the government and you wonder why we don’t trust you any more?

Labour will remain a semi-paralysed force until a new leader is in place. But that is only part of the problem. There is a real feeling in the higher echelons of the party that while Cameron goes on being conspicuously nice, Labour cannot be overtly nasty. No one seems to have noticed that he has contracted out the dirty work by encouraging his followers to make sustained personal attacks on the chancellor.

Again prove this will you? You fat fuck! Prove it. If you can’t prove it at least show us a line of enquiry we can follow.. you know a shred of evidence or do we just have to read your bitter fucking ramblings? Get over yourself Porkesley your day has passed now let Cameron get on the job of putting right everything that Blair has shat on.

Personal unpleasantness would certainly be a mistake. Nobody, for example, should emulate George Osborne by calling a member of the shadow cabinet autistic. But that does not mean the government should shy away from subjecting the record and conduct of the leader of the opposition to the most rigorous scrutiny.

Go on then…. Find dirt on Cameron on the basis of his conduct in office. Or of course we could just keep looking at the conduct of the Labour leader in office… ypu we’re going to find more fun there aren’t we? How much did you buy your peerage for?

If Labour does not soon go on to the attack, Tory strategy will have worked. The government cannot assume that its record will, alone, be enough to guarantee re-election.

Because it is shit.

It has done much of which it can be proud.

Three victories, that is the only thing it can claim.

Cameron has been forced to pay lip service to support for a universal health service, high levels of public expenditure and non-selective secondary education.

And Blair has been forced to pay lip service to Mrs. Thatcher and the demise of closed shop unions, the removal of nationalisation and her foreign policy stance. Can we have a pat on the back for the Conservatives you one sided over indulgent fuck?

In these particulars, Labour has changed the political weather.

Yup… nothing works now

But electors become bored,

Especially when feck all happens

and the attractions of the superficial and the meretricious should not be underrated. Labour needs to look new and fresh. But it also needs to expose Cameron as a phoney - a convert to whatever postures provide him with the best chance of winning in 2009.

Yeah… good luck with that.

Be Prepared for more Frustrated Young Muslims...

You can’t make it up…

“Deliberate masturbation during the month of Ramadan renders a fast invalid, Iranian Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khameini has ruled.”

So based on this, non-deliberate or ‘accidental’ masturbation is allowed? If this is the case how does one accidentally masturbate?

“Sorry guvnor I was just cleaning it and it went off….”

That Blair Speech Part 4 - Thank God It's Over

That's the party fobbed off for another year... I'm of for a cuppa!

The final instalment....

We must never again let Lebanon become the battleground for a conflict that neither Israeli or Lebanese people wanted though it was they who paid the price for it.

Really who are we to stop this? We have not been asked by either Israel or Lebanon to intervene in their respective holy wars. Neither the Lebanese or Israeli people have voted us into power in either of those countries. If we do show our faces there we will probably make the situation worse, or as happened last time we just provide a suitable human shield for Hezbollah’s forces.

Peace in Lebanon is a defeat for terrorism. Action in Africa is a defeat for terrorism. What is happening now in the Sudan cannot stand. If this were in the continent of Europe we would act. Showing an African life is worth as much as a Western one - that would help defeat terrorism too.

Maybe showing that a British life, peace, democracy and human rights are as important to you as Arab ones would go a long way for you as well Tone.

Yes it's hard sometimes to be America's strongest ally.

Especially when we are expected to jump on board every military adventure they ask us to without question. I’m far from Anti-American but where were they in the Falklands crisis when their “strongest ally” was invaded? Where were they during Suez when their “strongest ally” had territory seized by a foreign power? Yet with every American military intervention we just jump on board.

Yes, Europe can be a political headache for a proud sovereign nation like Britain.

But Europe doesn’t need to be a political headache… we can just leave. The only economic benefit to EU membership is to the EU not to Britain.

But believe me there are no half-hearted allies of America today and no semi-detached partners in Europe. And the truth is that nothing we strive for, from the world trade talks to global warming, to terrorism and Palestine can be solved without America, or without Europe.

So we work with them, this is incredibly different to the blind slavish obedience you seem to have to both.

At the moment I know people only see the price of these alliances.

Because we cannot see the benefits

Give them up and the cost in terms of power, weight and influence for Britain would be infinitely greater.

How… this has never been explained.

Distance this country and you may find it's a long way back.

Assuming you want to go back… which I for one would not.

So all these changes of a magnitude we never dreamt of, sweeping the world, are calling for answers of equal magnitude and vision. All require leadership. And here is something else I've learnt. The danger for us today is not reversion to the politics of the 1980s. It is retreat to the sidelines.

Just how sidelines were the politics of the 1980s then? We repelled invaders to British territories…. We intervened in Kuwait because we were asked to by the Kuwaitis… we played a huge part in the promotion of democracy to the Eastern Bloc and the end of the Cold War. Just how on the sidelines were we? We are on the sidelines now because we are not forming any part of the command structure. We are simply reinforcing the Americans and handing money to the Europeans, and I am not seeing anything come our way.

To the comfort zone. It is unconsciously to lose the psychology of a governing Party. As I said in 1994, courage is our friend. Caution, our enemy.

There is a wealth of difference though between courage and blind fucking stupidity.

A governing Party has confidence, self-belief. It sees the tough decision and thinks it should be taking it. Reaches for responsibility first. Serves by leading.

Oh just fuck off…. What does this government know about responsibility? It has spent 9 years of failure and blamed the Tories for it. It strips our civil liberties daily and blames the muslims for it, it releases our criminals and blames the Human Rights Act yet when we point out that they put that in place they blame the system.

There is no responsibility in this government… if there were Clarke would have resigned but instead he had to be fired, Hewitt would have resigned but instead she fired the Chief Exec of the NHS, Prescott would have resigned but instead he claims pay without a job, Blair would have resigned but instead he plays world fucking policeman.

Responsibility? You are talking out of your fucking arse.

The most common phrase uttered to me - and not at rallies or public events but in meetings of chance, quietly, is not "I hate you" or "I like you" but "I would not have your job for all the world".

Whereas I thought the most common phrase was “are you going to set a date” or “Blair Blair Blair Go Go Go”

The British people will, sometimes, forgive a wrong decision. They won't forgive not deciding. They know the choices are hard. They know there isn't some fantasy Government where nothing difficult ever happens. They've got the Lib Dems for that.

Whereas if they want fantasy government where nothing happens at all apart from a shitload of headline initiatives that never occur then they have you cunts!

Government isn't about protests or placards, shouting the odds or stealing the scene.

It’s a good job really since we’re not allowed them any more.

It's about the hard graft of achievement. There are no third-term popular Governments. Don't ignore the polls but don't be paralysed by them either.

No…. just continue fighting amongst yourselves and we can make way for a decent government.

10 years on, our advantage is time, our disadvantage time.

What?

Time gives us experience. Our capacity to lead is greater. Time gives the people fatigue; their willingness to be led, is less.

Especially when we’re being led by a group of trough snouted fucktards like you lot.

But they will lose faith in us only if first we lose faith in ourselves.

Or we might lose faith in you if you say spend 9 years fucking up everything you touch.

The first rule of politics: there are no rules. You make your own luck. There's no rule that says the Tories have got to come back.

There is however I believe a rule that says effectively don’t sell seats in the House of Lords, I believe there are also a series of rules in the Ministerial Code of Practice, you remember that big book of toilet paper that the Labour Party has.

David Cameron's Tories? My advice: get after them.

You’ll have to since you can’t seem to get in front of them.

His foreign policy. Pander to anti-Americanism by stepping back from America.

I like it… we use our power and responsilibites to futher Britain’s interests rather than America’s.

Pander to the Eurosceptics through isolation in Europe.

I like it… we use our power and responsilibites to futher Britain’s interests rather than France and Germany’s.

Sacrificing British influence for Party expediency is not a policy worthy of a Prime Minister.

Which is why we wanto vote you out you cunt… after all the Tories are not proposing to close hospitals in Labour held constituencies.

His immigration policy. Says he'll sort out illegal immigration, but opposes Identity Cards, the one thing essential to do it.

How given that immigrants and foreign nationals won’t be required to have one?

His energy policy. Nuclear power "only as a last resort". It's not a multiple choice quiz question, Mr Cameron. We need to decide now otherwise in 10 years time we will be importing expensive fossil fuels and Britain's economy will suffer.

And that can apparently be done without the use of nuclear power. Good on him.

He wants tax cuts and more spending, with the same money.

Actually he wants better spending of the money and then we can use the growth to cut tax thus leading to more growth, higher earnings and in effect therefore more tax money coming in without the tax rates having to go up. Sounds like a plan.

He wants a Bill of Rights for Britain drafted by a Committee of Lawyers. Have you ever tried drafting anything with a Committee of Lawyers?

Yup…. It leads to 9 years of nothing happening. You should know this given that your entire cabinet are lawyers.

And his policy for the old lady terrorised by the young thug is that she should put her arm round him and give him a nice, big hug.

This is bollocks and you know it.

Built to last? They haven't even laid the foundation stone. If we can't take this lot apart in the next few years we shouldn't be in the business of politics at all.

I agree…. You shouldn’t be in the business of politics at all. Politics is supposed to be an honourable call to serve, you have made a mockery of the system that Britain is based on and then blamed the system for allowing you to do so. You are a traitorous fucking shit and I think you should be shot.

The Tories haven't thought it through. They think it's all about image. It's true we changed our image. We created a professional organisation.

Yup about 3 years before the election and then you started making policies which the public took seriously once you had suitably changed your image. How are the Tories being different here, how can you disapprove? Is it because it might get your lot out of power? You’re going why should you care?

But if I'd stood in 1997 on the policies of 1987 I would have lost. Period.

Instead you stood on different policies but then proceeded to revert back to the old days of socialism with the backdoor nationalisation of the railways, your exapnsionist policy of invasions, the removal of the right to speak out, detention without trial… the list goes on. Stalin did it and why shouldn’t you eh?

And it's the same now. Enough talk of hung Parliaments.

Unless of course the current one is being hung.

The next election won't be about image unless we let it be.

Actually the next election will be about what WE want it to be.

It'll be about who has the strength, judgement, weight and ideas for Britain's future in an uncertain world.

Let’s talk judgement shall we? The judgement of Gordon Brown, a man who sold all our fucking gold at half price so he could get his hands on the money. The man who knowing there would be a pensions crisis in the future robbed the private pensions blind. Judgement? Fuck off.

Or shall we take your judgement? Ready to fire in 45 minutes? Even if you believe that should we really trust the judgement of someone who looked across a crowded bar at Cherie Booth and thought “Phwoar I’m gonna have me some of that”?

Something else I've learnt.

That you’re a cunt?

It's about a Party's character. I'll give you two examples. Dennis Skinner. Watching from his sick bed. Get well soon. Never agreed with a policy I've had. Never once stopped him knowing the difference between a Labour Government and a Tory one.

Because that’s what’s fucking important here isn’t it? Power, power and fucking power.

People like Janet Anderson, George Howarth, Mike Hall. Good Ministers, but I asked them to make way. They did. Without a word of bitterness. They never forgot their principles when in office; and they never discovered them when they left office.

They fit right in…. the whole fucking lot of you have never discovered a principle on your lives. What you did discover in office was free Jags, junkets abroad, diary secretaries, free country homes and the ability to sell our democracy down the line to any fucker with a million quid.

This is the Party I am proud to lead.

See above

From the day I was elected until the day I leave, they will always try to separate us. "He's not Labour." "He's a closet Tory."

No I don’t think you’re a Tory Tone…. The Tories would let Galloway in before you.

In the 1980s some things done were necessary for the country. That's the truth. Saying it doesn't make you a Tory. I'm a progressive.

Then how come we have progressed backwards on nearly every measure?

The true believer believes in social justice, in solidarity, in help for those not able to help themselves.

That’s as maybe but you seem to believe in making us slaves to the welfare state.

They know the race can't just be to the swift and survival for the strong.

They are of course the ones who win races

They say I hate the Party, and its traditions. I don't.

No but the party hates you Tone… you’re the reason they’re going to lose next time round. You’ve been a true heir to Mrs. T. You’ve polarised opinion in the same way.

I love this Party. There's only one tradition I hated: losing.

So you’re fucking off before they lose … nice touch.

I hated the 1980s not just for our irrelevance but for our revelling in irrelevance.

You hated the 1980s because you were in opposition and that’s all.

Every day this Government has been in power, every day in Africa, children have lived who otherwise would have died because this country led the way in cancelling debt and global poverty.

That’s a pleasant sentiment Tone but every day this Government has been in power the British citizen, the people who put you there, have been second fiddle to any Arab or African that wanted our free money. Like all good socialists you hate Britain.

That's why winning matters.

That and the ministerial salary

So keep on winning. Do it with optimism. With hope in your hearts. Politics is not a chore. It's the great adventure of progress.I don't want to be the Labour Leader who won 3 successive elections. I want to be the first Labour Leader to win 3 successive elections.

You may be… when the Labour Paty stop fucking the county’s arse

So: it's up to you.

No it’s up to US!

You take my advice. You don't take it. Your choice. Whatever you do, I'm always with you. Head and heart.

Yay… all they want is for the cunt to go and yet he’s “always with you”

You've given me all I have ever achieved, and all that we've achieved, together, for the country.

WE have given you all you have ever achieved Tone…. US

Next year I won't be making this speech. But, in the years to come, wherever I am, whatever I do. I'm with you. Wishing you well. Wanting you to win. You're the future now. Make the most of it.

Oh I intend to….

Something Just Occured to Me....

A thought has occured to me..... looking at the picture I posted in "That Blair Speech Part 2" I noticed a small similarity with another world leader of history...

Coincidence?

That Blair Speech Part 3

Oh Christ.... what the feck has he said this time?

He continues….. and so do I…. Christ the man is a tedious twat isn’t he?

Skills. I say to business: you have a responsibility to train your workforce. To trade unions: here is the chance to be the learning partners for the workforce of the next generation. Take the chance.

Actually I say to business “the state has a responsibility to let you employ people who have the skills to do your jobs and should be grateful that you are providing jobs at all given the rate at which we’ve taxed and regulated you. The state has a responsibility to make sure that suitable provision is in place that our people are educated to you requirements”. Sadly this does not appear to be the case.

To the trade unions I say “just fuck off”.

In the future, as people live longer, we can't afford good pensions and help for disabled people who can't work, with 4 million people on benefit, many of whom could work. Almost a million less than there were. But too many. That is why we need more radical welfare reform, getting more disabled people, more lone parents, more on unemployment benefit, into work, not to destroy the welfare state. But to preserve it.

No… destroy the welfare state as it destroys us.

And why is reform so important in public services?

Errr…. Because they don’t fucking work?

Over the past 10 years Britain has invested more in our public services than any comparable nation in the world. From near the bottom in Europe to the average in a decade. 300,000 more workers, treble the money, 25% more pay in real terms and the largest ever hospital programme; that is an NHS being re-built not privatised.

One of the many reasons that our schools and hospitals don’t work is that all that extra money went on paying people more to do the same job. Those of you with teenagers in your homes imagine the following. You have a son or daughter that doesn’t do what you want them to do… in return for this you treble their pocket money. Are they now going to work harder and smarter? Or are they just going to take your money and piss it up the wall? I think the latter.

Refurbishing or rebuilding every state secondary school in the country. 92,000 more classroom assistants, 36,000 more teachers, pay also up 17% in real terms. This isn't privatising state education; it's producing the best schools results ever.

But sadly not the best educated children ever.

But what happens? Expectations rise. People want power in their own hands.

Especially since we can’t trust it in your hands since you sell it to the highest donation

Two thirds of the country has access to the internet. Millions of people are ordering flights or books or other goods on-line, they are talking to their friends on-line, downloading music, all of it when they want to, not when the shop or office is open. The Google generation has moved beyond the idea of 9 to 5, closed on weekends and Bank Holidays. Today's technology is profoundly empowering.

Yup…. It can expose Prescott’s affairs, and it can get right up the noses of the government. It can publicise the unfortunate side effects of the Legislative Reform Bill, it can get Roger Helmer reinstated and so on. Of course in political circles you can view porn in a whole new way.

Of course public services are different.

Yeah.. they don’t work.

Their values are different.

Yes.. they’re worth a lot less now that they were 10 years ago.

There will be no selective Trust Schools or City Academies.

So what you are saying is that you will empower people to make the choices about their own child’s education but that choice will be made from a whole range of places that offer only one style of education… your style of education.

Actually its not your style of education is it Tone? You were educated at Fettes, so in effect you’re empowering people so much you’re making sure that their children cannot get the education you had.

But if, as at the Academy I visited in Lewisham, good GCSE results doubled in a year, and a school once under-subscribed, now five times over-subscribed, how is that a denial of public service values?

Maybe because a five times oversubscribed school is failing its pupils?

And if an old age pensioner who used to wait 2 years for her cataract operation now gets it on the NHS in an independent treatment centre, in 3 months, free at the point of use, that is not damaging the NHS; it is fulfilling its purpose.

Fair point…. And I congratulate you if this is the case, I don’t however believe that’s the full story. But either way, as soon as the trade unions decide they don’t like it it will stop happening.

My advice: at the next election, the issue will not only be who is trusted to invest in our public services, vital though that is. It will be who comes first. And our answer has to be. The patient; the parent.

But really it will be the Labour Party. When you guys are in power the only time you even see patients and parents is when you look to see what you’re stepping on.

Meeting the 18 weeks maximum for waiting in the NHS with an average of 9 weeks from the door of the GP to the door of the operating theatre. Booked appointments. The end of waiting in the NHS. Historic.

Or to put it another way… juggling the waiting times and areas so that targets are met and headlines are grabbed without actually improving the service given because frankly where else is the patient who can’t afford private treatment going to go? Dr. Crippen can talk about this for some time and given he’s on the front line and you’re not I’m inclined to believe him. In fact when was the last time you went near a waiting list?

Transforming secondary schools in the way we have done for primary schools. Schools with three quarters of children getting good results the norm. Historic.

Historic as in it happened in history, it doesn’t happen now. I don’t want secondary schools transformed in the way they have for primary schools. Ever since they “transformed the schools” literacy and basic skills have plummeted. Why is this a trend I want to keep up?

Do this and we will have earned the right to be custodians of our public services for the next generation.

Do this? You have had 9 years to do this and you haven’t done it. You haven’t made anything better. You had the right to be custodians of our public services and you squandered it. You have lost that right now and I for one will be happy to take it away from you.

I always said the Home Office was the toughest job in Government. It hasn't got easier. We should get a few facts straight. Crime has fallen not risen.

BOLLOCKS!

We are the only Government since the war to do it.

Which war exactly? You might be the only government since the Iraq War to do it but I believe the Conservatives achieved this under Michael Howard’s watch as Home Secretary. Maybe it had something to do with imprisoning criminals instead of letting 150 or so of them out without knowing where they are.

Asylum applications are dealt with faster, removals are greater, the system infinitely better than the chaos we inherited in 1997.

Because frankly we didn’t need 10% of the controls we now need in 1997.

30 million people now come to Britain every year. Visitors, tourists, workers, students. Our economy needs them. 227 million pass through our airports. Yet we have no means of checking who is here lawfully.

Well you have had 9 years to produce one. In fact we have been getting bombed for a year now and you’re still no closer to monitoring this.

The fundamental dilemma: how do we reconcile liberty with security in this new world?

This is leading up to ID Cards isn’t it?

I don't want to live in a police state, or a Big Brother society or put any of our essential freedoms in jeopardy
Of course not, we should have the right and freedom to say… wear a Bollocks to Blair T-Shirt, protest outside Parliament, get on public transport without it detonating, not be detained without charge or trial. You know basic freedoms, basic liberties, fundamental human rights.

But because our idea of liberty is not keeping pace with change in reality, those freedoms are in jeopardy.

Or is it because you don’t like us being free?

Immigration has benefited Britain.

Maybe but multiculturalism certainly hasn’t.

But I know that if we don't have rules that allow us some control over who comes in, goes out, who has a right to stay and who has not, then instead of a welcome, migrants find fear. We can only protect liberty by making it relevant to the modern world. That is why Identity Cards using biometric technology are not a breach of our basic rights, they are an essential part of responding to the reality of modern migration and protecting us against identity fraud.

NO NO NO NO NO! If we cram all the data into one card biometric or not then it raises identity fraud. All this information will be stored electronically and can therefore be stolen. Haven’t you heard the phrase? You know the one…. It’s about eggs and baskets.

I remember when I introduced the DNA database. On it go all those who are arrested. We were told it was a monstrous breach of liberty.

And it is when you’re keeping files on people who have committed no crime such as all those children.

But it is now matching 3,000 offences a month including last year several hundred murders, and thousands of rapes and other violent offences.

And yet still the
violent crime rate rises

In the next Parliamentary Session, the centre-piece will be John Reid's immigration and law and order reforms. I ask people of all Parties to support them. Let Liberty stand up for the Law-abiding.

Remember this? 100 days to sort out the Home Office? Is it sorted? These law and order reforms will be control orders, detention without trial, ID cards, Big Brother surveillance. Vote against it… vote against it with all your might.

And of course, the new anxiety is the global struggle against terrorism without mercy or limit. This is a struggle that will last a generation and more. But this I believe passionately: we will not win until we shake ourselves free of the wretched capitulation to the propaganda of the enemy, that somehow we are the ones responsible. This terrorism isn't our fault. We didn't cause it.

Your immigration policy and twattish idea of multiculturalism hasn’t helped though has it?

It's not the consequence of foreign policy.

No… it’s a consequence of your immigration policy and twattish idea of multiculturalism

It's an attack on our way of life.

Which you’re not defending us against. If all the freedom loving people of this country marched down the streets of London shouting “Behead those who insult Christ” and “Muslims, your 9/11 is coming” how hard would your police have come down on us eh?

It's global. It has an ideology. It killed nearly 3,000 people including over 60 British on the streets of New York before war in Afghanistan or Iraq was even thought of. It has been decades growing. Its victims are in Egypt, Algeria, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Turkey. Over 30 nations in the world.

And we’re only asking you to take care of it in this country. You cannot seem to do that, why not bring peace and democracy to Britain before you start exporting it?

Not a day goes by or an hour in the day when I don't reflect on our troops with admiration and thanks - the finest, the best, the bravest, any nation could hope for.

Not a day goes by that they are not wounded and killed either. I never see you visiting the wounded, or attending a military funeral though.

They are not fighting in vain. But for this nation's future. But this is not a conventional war. It can't be won by force alone. It's not a clash of civilisations.

Yes it is.

It's about civilisation, about the ideas that shape it. From 9/11 until now I have said again and again. If we want our values to be the ones that govern global change, we have to show that they are fair, just and delivered with an even hand.

I don’t want Britian shaping the world just yet. I want Britain governed in Britain’s interest. I want the domestic agenda working. I want foreign policy pointed at our security and economic interest. Not America’s, not the EU’s and I couldn’t give a rat fuck whether there is peace in the Middle East until I choose to live there. I did not vote any British politician into power so that someone in Basra can have a better life.

From now until I leave office I will dedicate myself, with the same commitment I have given to Northern Ireland , to advancing peace between Israel and Palestine. I may not succeed. But I will try because peace in the Middle East is a defeat for terrorism.

No mention of dedicating himself to furthering Britain I see.

That Blair Speech Part 2

People of Britain... Bollocks to the lot of you!

Apologies Guttersnipes…. Work just gets in the way, however the Dunkirk spirit prevails and I slog on with Blair’s speech. I will return to more up to date topics once this is complete. Since Devil’s Kitchen was looking forward to reading the rest I don’t like to let him down…

The beliefs of the Labour Party of 2006 should be recognisable to the members of 1906. Full employment; strong public services; tackling poverty; international solidarity. The policies shouldn't. The trouble was for a long time they were.

And it’s a good job the policies shouldn’t because it would appear that the policies have led to rising unemployment neatly glossed over by changing the figures, an NHS up to its sphincters in debt and the very idea of international solidarity seems to have been translated as what America asks we will provide…. Or to put it a better way “Monkey see, monkey do”.

In the 1960s, re-reading the Cabinet debates of In Place of Strife, everyone was telling Harold Wilson not to push it. They said it was divisive, unnecessary, alienated core support. In the end he gave up but so did the public on Labour. Even in 1974, the Labour Government spent 2 years renationalising shipbuilding and the public spent 2 years wondering why. In the 1980s, Council house sales had first been suggested by Labour people. It was shelved. Too difficult. Too divisive. We lost a generation of aspiring working class people on the back of it.

And of course you’ll remember that Blair often uses this as a club against David Cameron, yet now he likes the idea. Yet apparently Cameron is the flip flopper.

In the 1980s we should have been the party transforming Britain. We weren't.

Thank fuck for that…. Although in the 70s Labour were the party transforming Britain… we had the 3 day week, corpses piling up because gravediggers were on strike, tax rates that even the Gobblin fecking King would baulk at. Oh yes… Britain was transformed all right.

The lesson is always the same.

Guttersnipe learned then not to vote Labour and has heeded this lesson throughout.

Values unrelated to modern reality are not just electorally hopeless, the values themselves become devalued. They have no purchase on the real world. We won not because we surrendered our values but because we finally had the courage to be true to them.

No you won because you parked your values and told the public what they wanted to hear. Then taxed them until milk ran from their arses, detained them without trial and enslaved them to the mammoth state.

Our courage in changing gave the British people the courage to change. That's how we won.

That and bribing a few rich people with Ermine does seem to have helped a bit doesn’t it?

10 years after, Government has taken its toll. It does. It's in the nature of the beast. In the harsh climate of the 24/7 media, in which gossip and controversy are so much more newsworthy than real news, people forget.

Government has taken its toll? You are the government you spotlight hugging twat! You… the Tories aren’t the government, the Limp fecking Dims aren’t the government, government isn’t some living breathing thing with a mind and agenda of its own. It is the party with a parliamentary majority. That is you. Government taken its toll my fucking polished knob. Just be honest for once and say “10 years after we are just not up to the job”.

I spoke to a woman the other day, a part-time worker, complaining about the amount of her tax credit.I said: Hold on a minute: before 1997, there were no tax credits not for working families not for any families; child benefit was frozen; maternity pay half what it is; maternity leave likewise and paternity leave didn't exist at all. And no minimum wage, no full time rights for part time workers, in fact nothing.

Whereas I would have summed up my response with the words… “So why not get a full time job you parasitic sponging council scrote?”. But maybe that’s just me.

"So what?", she said "that's why we elected you. Now go and sort out my tax credit." And, of course, she's right.

And have you sorted out her tax credit Tone?

In Government you carry each hope; each disillusion.

No Tone… you’ve taken each hope and crushed it into the disillusion you give us back. In fact that disillusion is the only thing you’ve given us back.

And in politics it's always about the next challenge. The truth is, you can't go on forever. That's why it is right that this is my last Conference as Leader.

I didn’t hear anyone begging him to stay did you? Just fucking fuck off will you.

Of course it is hard to let go. But it is also right to let go. For the country, and for you, the Party. Over the coming months, I will take through the changes I have worked on so hard these past years. And I will help build a unified Party with a strong platform for the only legacy that has ever mattered to me - a fourth term election victory that allows us to keep changing Britain for the better.

Here’s all that matters to Blair…. Fourth term election victory. I’m fucking sick of hearing this, the only achievement they’ve had is the three consecutive terms. Jesus Christ Blair there are people out in the country with real issues that currently it is your job to sort out. Enough with the fucking election already. Don’t you have a tax credit to be sorting out?

And I want to heal. There has been a lot of talk of lies and truths these past few weeks.

Yup…. Who made those comments about lies eh Tone? Was it Brown? Was it Straw? No… that sort of political damage can only some from someone who is so stupid that he/she would even make Prescott look like Stephen Hawking. Some sort of vacuous camera whore than craves liemlight more than the lovechild of Tony Blair and David Blane… yes I’m talking Cherie fucking Blair.

In no relationship at the top of any walk of life is it always easy, least of all in politics which matters so much and which is conducted in such a piercing spotlight. But I know New Labour would never have happened, and 3 election victories would never have been secured, without Gordon Brown. He is a remarkable man. A remarkable servant to this country. And that is the truth.

A remarkable man…. Worthy of remarks. Therfore I remark… he’s a cunt.

So now, 10 years on, this Party faces the real test of leadership: not about what we've achieved in the past; but what we can achieve for Britain's future. Not just how do we win again; but how does Britain carry on winning?

Probably by not dropping from 4th to 10th in the competitiveness leagues I imagine Tone.

I won't be leading you in the next election. But I've sat in the hot seat for 10 years. Here's my advice.

Advice? Doesn’t this just fucking scream “You can’t win without me”? Brown looked so pissed off you would think Newsnight had invented a new tax loophole.

The scale of the challenges now dwarf what we faced in 1997. They are different, deeper, bigger, hammered out on the anvil of forces, global in nature, sweeping the world.

Of course they dwarf them…. You’ve had 10 years to fuck the country up the royal box making everything worse than it was before.

In 1997 the challenges we faced were essentially British. Today they are essentially global. The world today is a vast reservoir of potential opportunity. New jobs in environmental technology, the creative industries, financial services. Cheap goods and travel. The internet. Advances in science and technology.

None of which are British.

In 10 years we will think nothing of school-leavers going off to university anywhere in the world.

Well Labour seems to think nothing of school-leavers going off to jobs anywhere but here, why should uni students be any different? They’ll have to go abroad to go to university after 10 years of further Labour rule since it will be far too expensive here and they won’t be allowed to protest about anything.

But with these opportunities comes huge insecurity. In 1997 we barely mentioned China. Not any more. Last year China and India produced more graduates than all of Europe put together.

And they were engineers, designers, scientists, academics… as opposed to the masses of brain altered fucking doctors of aromatherapy that Britain has churned out.

10 years ago, energy wasn't on the agenda. The environment an also-ran. 10 years ago, if we talked pensions we meant pensioners.

Now when we talk about pensions we talk about how your one-eyed fucking Turpin tribute act robbed £5 billion from the poor and just fucking kept it.

Immigration hardly raised.

Until you opened the borders, removed all the controls and let any Tom, Dick or Abdul detonate our public transport system you fucktard.

Terrorism meant the IRA. Not any more.

Quite… now it means 82 year old Labour activists, anyone protesting outside Parliament, anyone carrying face cream on a plane. It doesn’t appear to include hook handed hate preachers, crowds calling for the beheading of those who insult Islam, or members of prescribed terrorist groups interrupting speeches by the Home Secretary.

We used to feel we could shut our front door on the problems and conflicts of the wider world. Not any more. Not with globalisation. Not with climate change. Not with organised crime. Not when suicide bombers born and bred in Britain bring carnage to the streets of London. In the name of religion. A speech by the Pope to an academic seminar in Bavaria leads to protests in Britain.

That’s because you allowed a queue of batshit mad volatile Sharia worshipping jihadists to land a Dover and then said “Come on in… we’ll give you everything you want.”. Your first duty as a government is the protection of the citizens. That was a duty you have never taken seriously. Every time a dangerous muslim appears you bend over and take one up the ringpiece from the MPAC.

The question today is different to the one we faced in 1997.

Yup…. The question we faced in 1997 is “Why should we vote Tory?” the question we now face is “Why the fuck did we vote Labour?”

It is how we reconcile openness to the rich possibilities of globalisation, with security in the face of its threats. How to be open and secure. And again, there is a third way.

Yup…. Complete and utter abject surrender and dhimmitude. Which appears to be proceeding as planned.

The British people today are reluctant global citizens. We must make them confident ones.

You should probably start by getting the feck out then Blair since the British people have little other than contempt and shame for the government we have apparently put on the world stage. How can we be confident in the international community when you send Straw to shake hands with Mugabe, you send Prescott over to Russia on our behalf and you sit back and hand over British rebate money in return for being fucked in the ass with an EU standard marrow by Brussels. Incidentally handing over tax payers money in exchange for a damn good ass poking is what got Mark Oaten into trouble… you should learn from that.

The danger in all this, for us, is not ditching New Labour. The danger is failing to understand that New Labour in 2007 won't be New Labour in 1997.

Yup…. God willing they won’t be in power.

10 years ago I would have described re-linking the BSP with earnings as "Old Labour". Our aim is by 2012, but by the end of the next Parliament at the latest - we are going to do it. Rodney Bickerstaffe has become New Labour. Or have I become Old Labour? 10 years ago, if you had asked me to put environmental obligations on business, I would have been horrified. Now I'm advocating it.

Until the trade unions say that they don’t want it of course…. Then you’ll cave faster than the French.

I would have baulked at restrictions on advertising junk food to children. Today I say unless a voluntary code works, we will legislate for it. 10 years ago I parked the issue of nuclear power. Today, I believe without it, we are going to face an energy crisis and we can't let that happen.

And trust me Tone the tub thumping lefties in your party won’t let that happen. For fuck’s sake you can’t even get your Schools Bill through without Tory support and enough watering down to drown a fucking hippo. Nuclear power is an absolute anathema to the left… they’re not going to let you, Brown or anyone build more nuclear power.

Over the next year we are reviewing every aspect of our economic policy, not because we were wrong in the past, but because whether in tax and spending, regulation, planning, enterprise, the question is not about our competitiveness in the last 10 years, but in the next 10.

Or the way I read it…. We were wrong in the past.

More as I write

That Blair Speech Part 1

People of Manchester.... this is your Emperor!

Well it’s taken me a while but I’m trawling through Blair’s conference speech of yesterday and stopping to comment on anything that gets the Guttersnipe’s blood up. The trouble being there’s so much if it. This therefore is going to be an ongoing project for me to give its full attention. Please join me over the next few days as I really go to town.

There’s just too much to fisk in one day… so here goes... seconds out round one, eyes down for a full house...

I'd like to start by saying something very simple. Thank you. Thank you to you, our Party, our members, our supporters, the people who week in, week out do the work, take the flak but don't often get the credit. Thank you, the Labour Party for giving me the extraordinary privilege of leading you these past 12 years. I know I look a lot older. That's what being leader of the Labour Party does to you.

It’s also what 12 years does to you at your stage of life Tone…

Actually, looking round some of you look a lot older. That's what having me as leader of the Labour Party does to you. Nobody knows that better than John Prescott, my Deputy these last 10 years, author of "traditional values in a modern setting".

Traditional values in a modern setting? Well we do appear to have the traditional Labour values of being a complete illiterate twat with no interest in anything other than the trappings of power and everything he can get his greasy mitts on (including his PA) so yes… a fair comment I think.

I may have taken New Labour to the country but it was you that helped me take it to the Party, so thank you.

Er…. They are the party I believe.

When I went to Sedgefield to seek the nomination, just before the 1983 election, I was a refugee from the London-based politics of that time. I knocked on John Burton's door. He said "come in; but shut up for half an hour, we're watching the Cup Winners Cup final". I sat in the company of the most normal people I had met in the Labour Party.

Because the rest of them are all fucking fruitloops. Look at who we had in those days:

Michael Foot, Neil Kinnock, George Galloway, Gerald Kaufman… jesus I’m not surprised you met the most normal people just sat in a front room, there are probably only 6 normal people in the Labour Party.

They taught me that most of politics isn't about politics, in the sense of meetings, resolutions, speeches or even Parties. It starts with people. It's about friendship, art, culture, sport. It's about being a fully paid up member of the human race before being a fully paid up member of the Labour Party. But above all else, I want to thank the British people.

Would these be the same British people who you have banned from being within 5 miles of the conference? The same British people who are no longer allowed to voice their opinions near Parliament?

The same British people Not just for the honour of being Prime Minister but for the journey of progress we have travelled together.

Yup…. Downhill is an easy direction to travel in isn't it? You are a twat!

Leaders lead but in the end it's the people who deliver.

Because with governments like your Tone we fucking well have to.

In the last few months I've seen new hospitals like University College in London, the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital planned in Birmingham or Whiston Hospital in Knowsley, where I laid the foundation stone. But without the talents and dedication of the NHS staff, they would be just empty shells. It is their efforts which have cut waiting, improved care, transform and save tens of thousands of lives every day. Thank you.

Oh for fuck's sake… it is YOUR efforts that have made nurses redundant, caused UNISON to call a walk out, get the NHS in more debt than it has ever seen and given us the whole idea of closing hospitals in Tory safe seats.

And we in Government can help put in place the new Academy in Liverpool or the ground-breaking Education Village in Darlington which I have visited recently.

Academy and Education Village? They just wanted a school to, you know, teach maths and all that but no they had to have a fecking “Education Village” no doubt crammed with diversity officers and classroom assistants and anything other than teachers.

But it's the commitment and love of learning of their teachers and their pupils, and the support of parents, which have given our country the best educated children in our history. Thank you.

Best educated children in history?
Shall we have a quick look at some figures Tone? And by the way these will not be using the phrase “in real terms”.

- Reading and Writing. Almost half of all 11 year-olds cannot read, write and add up properly when they leave primary school.
- GCSEs. Nearly 23,000 children left school last year without a single GCSE.

Best educated? Maybe the best test results in history but we all know that's something else entirely.

In 1994, I stood before you for the first time and shared the country's anger at crumbling school buildings, patients languishing, sometimes dying in pain, waiting for operations, of crime doubled, of homes repossessed, of pensioners living in poverty; and told you of our dismay at four election defeats and how it was not us who should feel betrayed but the British people.

Whereas in 2006, he stands before you responsible for the country's anger at crumbling school buildings, patients languishing, sometimes dying in pain, waiting for operations, of crime doubled, of homes repossessed, of pensioners living in poverty; and talk of nothing other than three election victories like its something important to the rest of the world and how it was not them who should feel betrayed but the British people.

In 1997, we faced daunting challenges.

Boom and bust economics.

Look Tone the only, and I mean THE ONLY, reason that we don’t have boom and bust economics now is that the house prices haven’t shifted yet. When they do and they will do as all markets do then there will be a lot of bust people. Boom and bust had its faults but it came about because of an economy that encouraged investment and entrepeneurship hence the age of the yuppy but the stagnant fecking vision of your one-eyed Brutus has shafted that royally into the ground. There is no bust because there cannot be a boom.

Chronic under-investment in our public services.

So… back in the Tory years we had public services bleating that they didn’t have enough money to waste on management consultants and diversity seminars. Now you’ve hosed everything in my hard earned money there has been no improvement at all… even the usually blind Patsy agrees with me? So where’s the success eh?

Social division, with millions living in poverty, including over 3 million children.

Which we still have, you’ve just redefined poverty.

And more than all this, a country culturally and socially behind. No black Ministers and never a black Cabinet Minister. Parliament, supposedly the forum of the people, with only 1 in 10 women MPs.

So you’re going on the diversity and equality angle here are you? Where is your first female Prime Minister then eh? It’s all well and good you branding the Tories as old fashioned stuffy blokes in country clubs but we put a woman in a position of power. You seem to feel that they can’t get into positions of power without an all woman shortlist.

Gay people denied equal rights. Trade unionists able to be sacked for joining a union. Workers on £1.20 an hour, legally.

That might sound a nightmare scenario Tony but for fuck’s sake, now we’re having to pay the most unskilled muppet more money than he is actually worth… as such cheap labour is available using illegal immigrants and the immigration crisis deepens.

Now, for all that remains to be done, dwell for a moment on what has been achieved.
We have had the longest period of sustained economic growth in British history.

OK… first of all we only have records back to 1950 so that claim is a bit ambitious don’t you think? Do we really think that our current growth period is longer than say around the Industrial Revolution? The ascent of the British Empire? The recovery from the Black Death?

But even using the figures we have the longest growth period there is 15 years, which means if Tony’s fucking fucktards have kept it going then 6 years of that is a Tory achievement.

Mortgage repossession, like mass unemployment, are terms we have to be reminded of.

No they are not. If unemployment is so down then why has the welfare bill gone through the fucking roof?

The last NHS winter crisis was 6 years ago.

Yeah… now the NHS is in its best year ever, and let’s not forget 6 years ago we had a Labour government approaching its second term.

Heart patients wait on average less than three months. Cancer deaths are down by 43,000.

From what and from when? I’m going to assume that he is referring to 1997 here and doing the rare thing of claiming from only when he’s been in power (see economy notes above). That would mean that the reduction in cancer deaths is following the same trend that has been going for 20 years since the Thatcher days.

You are more likely to see a new school building than a crumbling one.

But it won’t have any teachers in it, nor will it be producing any literate children.

There are virtually no long- term young unemployed.

Because they’re all fulfilling your fruitbat fucking 50% into university target studying aroma-fucking-therapy. Anybody with any talent has fucked off abroad where they can get a decent job.

Today we ask can we meet our ambitious targets on child poverty when, before 1997, the idea of a child poverty target would have been laughable.

From this then I can deduce that since 1997 child poverty has become a real problem since the target wasn’t needed before.

We have black Ministers and the first woman and then the first black woman Leader of the Lords. Not enough women MPs but twice what there were.

And why is this good? If they’re the cream of the crop then good luck to them. Gender, colour etc doesn’t matter. If your line up is based on ability alone (and god help you if you picked Blears and Hewitt on ability) then how is the fact that they are black or female your achievement?

You put people there because they were black didn’t you?

Free museum entry that has seen a 50% rise in visitors.

No…. a 50% rise in visits. The people it was designed to get into museums (ie. The Ds and Es of the world) still are not going. The core museum goers now just go more often.

Banning things that should never have been allowed: handguns, cosmetic testing on animals; fur farming, blacklisting of trade unionists and from summer next year, smoking in public places.

Fox hunting…. Don’t forget hunting, oh and smoking in your own car, protesting within a mile of Westminster unless you’re waving a “Behead anyone who isn’t Muslim” banner, protesting at the Labour conference… the list goes on.

Allowing things that should never have been banned: the right to roam; the right to request flexible working; civil partnerships for gay people.

OK… civil partnerships I’m OK with, but right to roam? Why should that happen? You now have the right to wander as you see fit across a farmer’s private land? That’s called trespassing, and as for the right to request flexible working.. you always had that right just as the employer always had the right to tell you to fuck right off.

Of course, the daily coverage of politics focuses on the negative.

Well there is so much of it to go around Tone…

But take a step back and be proud: this is a changed country.

For the fecking worse.

Above all, it is progressive ideas which define its politics. That is the real result of a third term victory. And the Tories have to pretend they love it.The Bank of England independence, they never did in 18 years, the minimum wage, they told us would cost a million jobs. The help for the world's poor, they cut. They fall over themselves saying how much they agree with us.

Right… I’ll concede BOE independence up to a point, but if you’re going to criticise the last Tories for not doing that then also you should condemn Old Labour for not doing it either. The minimum wage has cost a million jobs, just because you’ve propped them all into the fucking NHS doesn’t mean they were not lost in the first place.

We have changed the terms of political debate.

Yeah… you’d have taken parliamentary debate, wiped your holier than thou fucking arse with it and flushed it down the bog with your Legislative Reform Bill and European Consti-fucking-tution as well.

This Labour Government has been unique.

Yup… it’s the only one that’s won 3 times… other than that it’s been like all the others.

We faced out to the people, not in on ourselves. We put the Party at the service of the country.

Fuck off… just fuck right off you sanctimonious fucking twat! Party at the service of the country? Oh for fuck’s sake… the country is at the fucking mercy of the Labour Party more like? If you’re our fucking servants then you’re fucking fired… give us our money back.

We abandoned the ridiculous, self-imposed dilemma between principle and power.

Yup…. Drop the principles, take the power.

We reach out not just to those in poverty or need but those who are doing well but want to do better; those on the way up, ambitious for themselves and their families.

Yup… you reach out to those people on their way up the ladder and tax them until their intestines are shat out of their state monitored arses and affter you strangle every bit of ambition and freedom out of their still warm corpse you tax everything they had when they died. You fucking fucking fucks!

These are our people too.

Our people? You don’t own us you Orwellian retard! We own you… you are there at ours and Her Majesty’s Pleasure.

Not to be tolerated for electoral reasons.

So people are not to be tolerated for electoral reaosns, but you’re free to shut their fucking hospitals if they vote Tory aren’t you Blair?

But embraced out of political conviction.

I’m so looking forward to those political convictions…. Lord Levy, Blair? Sad that old
Tubbyfucker's not getting his collar felt any more but you can't win em all.

The core vote of this Party today is not the heartlands, the inner city, not any sectional interest or lobby. Our core vote is the country. It was they who made us change.

Actually given that you were returned 36% of a 61% turnout, which means that only 21% of the country wanted you back in office. I'd say the core vote was a resounding 79% against.

Please Sir... Can I Have Some Power?

Pick me... you'e got to pick me... I always get picked last!

This is in today’s Guardian

“Gordon Brown today laid out his credentials to be the next Labour leader and prime minister, but confessed "regret" to the Labour conference over his rows with Tony Blair.”

Oh look at that! The backstabber in chief and overseer of most of our domestic fuck ups, the head Blair blamer has suddenly got all repentant about his nefarious disloyal ways. I wonder if it’s anything to do with this…

In
today’s Telegraph

“Gordon Brown's hopes of being acclaimed as Tony Blair's successor at this week's Labour conference are severely dented today by a poll for The Daily Telegraph showing a sharp fall in the number of voters who think he would be a good prime minister.”

“Earlier in the year, 36 per cent of voters thought he would prove to be a good prime minister. That figure has fallen to 27 per cent, while the proportion thinking he would probably fail as prime minister has risen from 33 per cent to 44.”

Back to the Graun…

“The chancellor paid tribute to the PM, telling Mr Blair: "You taught our party - you saw it right, you saw it clearly and you saw it through - that we can't just be for one section of society, we've got to be for all of society."”

Oh fucking hell…. Why doesn’t he just stand on the podium and say “Sorry sir, it won’t happen again, can I have my toys back now?”

Peter Hitchens Vents His Spleen

I make no apology for lifting this straight from the Daily Mail. I implore other bloggers to do the same.

Is this what they mean by 'Muslim tolerance'?
By PETER HITCHENS, The Mail on Sunday

Last updated at 15:10pm on 18th September 2006

Listen to this: "Make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate."

Or then again, this: "Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends."
Then there is the instruction to fight against those who are not of the true faith "until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued".

All are direct quotations from the Koran, which Muslims believe to be the absolute word of Allah, and which cannot be altered.

If you seek even more ferocious attacks on Christianity and Judaism, you will find them in the Hadith, Islam's other great book of scripture.

Week after week in those lands where Muslims rule and Christians are a minority, the message pours out from the mosques: "God did not have a son."

All the central doctrines of the Christian faith are emphatically denied. Things are said about Jews and Christians, sometimes comparing them to pigs and monkeys, which would attract the attention of the Thought Police if they were uttered here.

Only recently an Afghan was threatened with death - the prescribed punishment under Sharia law - for converting from Islam to Christianity.

Christians in Pakistan live in constant fear of attacks on their churches and their homes, usually following false allegations that someone has burned a Koran.

Coptic Christians in Egypt suffer a similar misery. Christian Arabs who can afford to have been emigrating by the thousands to avoid increasing persecution by their Muslim neighbours.

Hypocritical fury
For years Liberals in the West have spread the myth of "Muslim tolerance". It does not exist and never did. Where Islam rules, other faiths must cringe in humiliated subjection.

These are facts. Is it not astonishing that this militant, angry religion, whose name means not "Peace", but "Submission", whose whole existence is based on the denial and rejection of its rivals, dares to get into a self-righteous rage over an obscure quotation in a dull academic lecture by the head of the Roman Catholic Church?

In Islam it is still the year 1427. They have had no reformation. The more Islamic a state is, the more its women are shrouded and confined, the more its minorities are despised - and the more freedom of thought and speech are crushed.

And yet the deputy leader of Turkey's Islamist ruling party, Salih Kapusuz, attacks the Pope for having "a dark mentality that comes from the darkness of the Middle Ages".
If we bow to this manufactured, hypocritical fury, then we will already have lost one of the most important battles to face us.

While our silly leaders bleat and panic about terror threats, a far greater menace to our free societies comes from the growing power of Islam in our midst.

Much of that power results from the weak-kneed refusal of our own liberal elite to stand up for what is good about our Christian civilisation. Back the Pope.

Cracking stuff...

Moonbat Watch II

Well I have been bored at work today, so time for another good sift through the BBC’s Have Your Say Section for the latest crop of care in the community cases.

Today they ask the question can Radical Islam be dealt with at home? Looking down the majority of answers they actually seem quite sensible but in amongst them there are the moonbats and foil hat wearers as ever.

“if they don't like this Country's foreign policy and way of life - they can always leave .......

This i'm afraid the above is an ignorant comment from an ignorant individual who has to understand that many of these so called 'foreigners' are 3rd or 4th generation born UK nationals whose forefathers were brought en' mass from the subcontinent in the 50's based on the the size of their hands, to assess their eligebility for manual work. How can these new generations of muslims simply go back?!”

As I recall nobody mentioned ‘going back’… the original poster, and your good Guttersnipe I might add, are merely suggesting that if you want to live under Sharia Law then you might want to live in say Iran rather than Ipswich.

“The UK's foreign policy is an affront to anyone with any morality but Muslims must feel this especially when you consider the sense of brotherhood that exists between all muslims.”

Yup…. Those Sunis and Shias just get along all fine and dandy don’t they? Still thinking about it myself and my learned brother Shouting Guttersnipe used to beat ten bells out of each other any chance we got.

“By the way - The UK Muslims that became terrorists did not go to faith schools - should we close down comprehensive schools?”

Yes…. Because they are shit, turn out slack jawed illiterate muppets like Prescott.

I save the best until last…. I wonder why this idiot is loose on the streets to write this, but also why Auntie felt the need to publicise it.

“Dr. Reid is doing a wonderful job. I have him as Prime Minister any day!”

?????!

Why Is This Man Even Here?

Another moderate muslim

Reid heckled during Muslim speech
"Home Secretary John Reid has been heckled during a speech about targeting potential Muslim extremists. He was interrupted by activist
Abu Izzadeen, who said he was "furious" about "state terrorism by British police". "

Now Izzadeen knows all about state terrorism after all here are a few of Wiki’s comments on him:

“Izzadeen has described the 7/7 suicide bombers in London as "completely praiseworthy". [1]
On the eve of the anniversary of the 7/7 attacks in London he was filmed preaching to a group of Muslims in Birmingham (UK) mocking and laughing at the victims of 9/11 and threatening further terror attacks in the UK. [2]
He has openly admitted that he wishes to die as a suicide bomber. [3]

Note the use of words employed by our good friends at Beeb-Jazeera here:
“activist Abu Izzadeen,”

Activist? This is a man that even Galloway thinks is a dangerous fruitloop. He even says so in the same article:

“Respect MP George Galloway, in an open letter to Mr Reid written on Wednesday afternoon, asked how such a "well-known extremist... was allowed within punching distance of the British home secretary".

The Home Office had been asked to comment here and their reply seems to indicate the prevailing priorities in the Home Office at the moment:

"There was no question of the home secretary's safety being compromised at any time."

The Home Secretary’s safety? Bollocks to the Home Secretary’s Safety… why the flaming feck does this Izzadeen goon freely float around the British Isles and the first we get to see of it is when he’s shouting and ranting at Reid?

What about the safety of the good British people who elected you fucktards into power, who pay the mandarins' salaries and who think that state and national security are issues that are governmental responsibility?

Why are we not allowed to protest within a mile of Parliament but a man who “has openly admitted that he wishes to die as a suicide bomber can wander freely around the place preaching his fascist bile? Why is this foaming, semtax hugging fucking moron not in Belmarsh?

“But Massoud Shadjareh, who chairs the Islamic Human Rights Commission, said Mr Reid's demands were "unrealistic and not demanded from any other community". He said the government, whose policies he said played a "substantial role" in radicalising people, "needs to come out of this state of denial, stop pointing fingers at others and instead recognise the root causes and its own responsibility".

What the feck? Let’s read that part again…

“But Massoud Shadjareh, who chairs the Islamic Human Rights Commission”

Islamic Human Rights Commission? Oh pale, waltzing Lord do we fund these people? I mean come on… how many breaches of human rights can you think of done in the name of Allah?

- Stoning of women for being raped
- Beheading journalists and aid workers
- Hiding your fucking missile launching positions in schools
- Beating of women and making them cover themselves from head to toe
- Blowing up public transport and killing people who have nothing to do with you or the foreign policy you claim to be fighting against.

Islamic Human Rights Commission? You’re doing a bang up job guys (because I assume there are no women working in this). Instead of having a pop at the Home Secretary (and it’s not like me to side with him… but you know how it goes, band together against the common enemy and all that), why not go over to Iran, Somalia, Pakistan etc and er… sort out their human fucking rights? Is it because they’ll hang you?

“Mr Reid later described the hecklers as "unrepresentative" of the Muslim community.”

Is it? Could the muslim community provide some evidence of this, because in the 5 years since 9/11 Guttersnipe here has seen none whatsoever.
